Hi there, this is Tech Conversationalist
Tech Conversationalist is a space to chat, to converse, to listen, to talk, to learn, to go deeper into some of the most fascinating ways technology, data, regulation, and ethics converge.
I’m a talker, a conversationalist, in the most traditional meaning of the term: Someone addicted to engaging in conversation and having a good, witty, fascinating talk.
By the way, did you know that the term “conversationalist” was used for the first time in 1819? That happens to be the year when the SS Savannah left port at Savannah, Georgia on a voyage to become the first steamship to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Although only a fraction of the trip is made under steam… What does that possibly have anything to do with this blog? Nothing really. Unless you consider engaging in a conversation about the steamboat’s positive effect around the world, as they made the transportation of goods more efficient and economical, cutting travel time in half regardless of the wind speed and direction, reducing the impact of gas emissions, and bringing people closer. Well, they also triggered some of today’s regulations affecting carbon fuels, labour safety, and international trade agreements.
I look forward to engaging in conversation with you.
